The Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress will be on display for the summer opening of Buckingham Palace in London starting July 23rd until October 3rd. The dress was worn beautifully by Catherine on her wedding day, April 29, 2011. It was designed by Sarah Burton, Creative Director of Alexander McQueen.

It was made using ivory and white satin gazar:The Queen’s ‘halo’ tiara seen below, was made by Cartier in 1936. Queen Elizabeth’s father, King George VI, bought it for the Queen Mother. They then passed it on to Queen Elizabeth on her 18th birthday. The Queen lent it to Kate for her wedding day:
Veil, made of layers of soft, ivory silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers:As seen in this photo below, the veil is gauzy and delicate:The lace details on the bodice and skirt was created by the Royal School of Needlework.
