Today marked day 2 of New York Fashion Week for Spring 2012! Being a fashion design student, I am always looking for inspiration, and the runway shows are a great source of inspiration. Three shows caught my eye today. They are the RTW (ready-to-wear) shows of Peter Som, Jason Wu, and Luca Luca.
Peter Som: I love his use of florals, saturated/vibrant colors, and texture:
Jason Wu: Love his use of black & white with pops of color and print. I also am inspired by his use of peplums (A short flared, gathered, or pleated strip of fabric attached at the waist of a woman’s jacket, dress, or blouse) and full skirts.
Luca Luca: Love his use and mixture of pastels, saturated colors, texture, and prints:
