Due to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this year, London based advertising agency, Leo Burnett, teamed up with Pantone to create a unique shade guide. These colors are based on the colorful outfits the Queen has worn throughout her reign. The shades date back to the Queen’s coronation in 1953. This Pantone guide is the perfect combination of two things I am passionate about, color and the royal family.
Diamond Jubilee: Royal Carriage Procession & Balcony Appearance
5 JunFollowing the Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving this morning at St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Queen and her family took part in a carriage procession back to Buckingham Palace. When they arrived, they stepped out onto the balcony to wave to the crowds outside who were celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Here are some photos from the procession and balcony appearance, as well as a message from the Queen about her Jubilee festivities.

Kate Was Lovely in Lace & the Queen Dazzled in Mint at the Diamond Jubilee Service
5 JunThis morning in London, a Thanksgiving service was held in the Queen’s honor at St Paul’s Cathedral. Both her and Kate in particular looked exquisite.
Kate wore an Alexander McQueen, nude lace dress, along with a hat by royal milliner Jane Taylor and her LK Bennett heels:

Diamond Jubilee Concert
4 JunIt is 3:30 PM in California, and the Diamond Jubilee Concert concluded in London just an hour ago. I watched along live here in CA via BBC One. A glorious stage was set up in front of Buckingham Palace, with acts performing on the stage itself, on the balcony of the palace, and even on the roof! Performers included Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Jessie J., Will.I.Am, Cheryl Cole, Gary Barlow, Kylie Minogue, Tom Jones, and closed with Sir Paul McCartney.
All of the Royal family was in attendance, with one exception, the Queen’s husband Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Sadly, he was hospitalized today before the concert due to a bladder infection, and will have to stay for observation for a few days. Aside from that, the family appeared to be enjoying themselves. Especially the young royals, such as William, Kate, Harry, Beatrice, and Eugenie.
Kate looked lovely in a Whistles, ‘Bella’ floral print dress:
Below are images from the concert, many of which I took a screenshot of while I watched BBC One coverage:

The Queen looked lovely in her cape:

Beautiful images were projected onto Buckingham Palace throughout the concert:

Love the bow!

I adored the lining on Sir Paul McCartney’s jacket!

The Queen came onto the stage with her son, Prince Charles, whom gave a wonderful speech in her honor. One of my favorite moments was when he started out his speech by saying “Your Majesty, Mummy,” and the crowded replied with cheering and an “awww.” My reaction exactly!!
The Queen removed her cape, and came on stage looking lovely in gold, giving the crowd some beaming smiles:
The Queen lit the final beacon to honor her Diamond Jubilee. Beacons have also been lit across Britain and around the world:

Kate Was Royal in Red: Diamond Jubilee River Pageant
3 JunToday, in London, a river pageant for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee took place along the River Thames. Although it was a day for the Queen, many eyes were anxiously awaiting the fashions to be worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine. Kate wore a gorgeous, red Alexander McQueen dress and clutch, paired with a hat by Sylvia Fletcher, whom is a royal milliner for James Lock & Co. She also wore her trusty LK Bennett Sledge Pumps.

William wore his Royal Air Force (RAF) Flight Lieutenant No 1 dress uniform, and Harry wore his No 1 Ceremonial dress of the Blues and Royals and Army Air Corps light blue beret:

Kate was also carrying a scarf made of Strathearn tartan as a nod to her Scottish title the Countess of Strathearn:

On Kate’s dress, she wore a maritime-themed brooch that featured two silver dolphins. It was a gift from the Royal Navy Submarine Service of which William is Commodore in Chief:
The Queen wore an outfit designed for her by Angela Kelly and her team at Buckingham Palace. It was made of white bouclé and embellished with silk ribbon and Swarovski crystals:

I’ve always wondered what she keeps in her purse! Love that she always carries one!

Diamond Jubilee Weekend: Epsom Derby Day 2
2 JunThe Epsom Derby day today in England was the Queen’s 1st official event she attended for her Diamond Jubilee weekend. In my previous post, I predicted she would either wear blue or yellow, and she wore blue! I’m loving the print on her dress:

Singer Katherine Jenkins sang the national anthem for the Queen, wearing a gorgeous strapless gown,

After Katherine’s performance, she changed into another stunning dress, this time with a hat:
Sadly, Kate was not in attendance, but the granddaughters of Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, had a fashion moment at the races:
I particularly liked Princess Beatrice’s lace dress:
Princess Eugenie was sporting some very patriotic, Union Jack, nails:
The spectator photos were not as extravagant today, but American actress Mischa Barton did have a great photo-op:
Prior to the races today, there was a 62 gun salute at the Tower of London in front of Tower Bridge to mark the start of Diamond Jubilee weekend:
