Royal Ascot: Hats & Fascinators

16 Jun

The 300th British Royal Ascot began Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in Berkshire.

This time last year, I remember being in Waterloo station in London seeing women walking around in the most exquisite and extravagant hats and fascinators. Fascinators being the British term for headpieces. My friends and I wondered, where is everyone going looking so lovely?! And they were indeed headed to the Royal Ascot horse races! Below are some of the great fashions seen at this year’s Royal Ascot.

‘LADIES DAY’  is a great day at the races where the focus switches from racing to fashion and those unique hats! Here are some “hat-lights” of the day!
