Kate Middleton’s Vogue Cover

9 Oct

There has been a rumor floating around the fashion world that Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, was in talks with fashion photographer Mario Testino to hopefully convince the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, to pose for the cover of U.S. Vogue. Testino is a family friend of the Royal family, who photographed Will and Kate for their official engagement photos:

He also photographed Princess Diana for Vanity Fair back in July 1997, as well as exclusive photos of Will and Kate for their recent July 2011 Vanity Fair cover:

Unfortunately, the Palace has issued a statement that “there are no plans for the Duchess to do anything with U.S. Vogue.” I’m sure a Vogue magazine with Kate on the cover would have been one of the best-selling issues.

Mario Testino is an amazing photographer, and put together a book of his images of Diana at Kensington Palace called, “Diana, Princess of Wales,” which can be purchased on Amazon. She was simply stunning in every way!

Cheers to the Royal family! andrea ♥
