Lady A “Owned the Night” in Los Angeles

29 Mar

Lady Antebellum and their Lady A’ers definitely Owned the Night at a sold-out Staples Center in Los Angeles this past Tuesday, March 27th! Their Own the Night 2012 World Tour has been a huge success so far, and they deserve all the success in the world! I was fortunate enough to be in attendance on Tuesday, and I had THE best experience for my 7th Lady A concert! It started off with a very memorable meet & greet with Charles, Hillary, and Dave. I gave them each a collage of one of my favorite concerts of theirs I attended, which was their first concert in London back in 2010! I also made a little bandana for Hillary’s adorable dog, Hobbs, with his name and a “Keep Calm and Own the Night” logo I made. They could not have been any nicer!! I will always cherish my moment talking with them, and there’s nothing like hearing Charles call you darlin’!

Following the meet and greet, I headed to the floor to watch opening acts Thompson Square and Darius Rucker, who were amazing! Next stop before Lady A took the stage was to the inner circle, which is a circular area “cut out” literally inside their stage. I made it to, what I believed to be, THE spot, front row and center, right by the stairs in the circle. Once the Lady A dance party settled and the lights dimmed, the opening video montage began and fans went wild. One of the highlights for me was seeing Dave, Charles, and Hillary rise up onto the stage right in front of me, and the energy in the arena was electric. And soon after that, Dave seemed to recognize me from the M&G while in the inner circle and said hello as he came over to shake hands with the fans. I just can’t get over how friendly they are 🙂

Here’s a video I took of that moment:

Another highlight from the concert was when Charles introduced One Republic’s Ryan Tedder to the stage to sing Good Life with them!! I fell in love with Lady A’s rendition from their previous webisode, and to hear it live with Ryan was icing on the cake!

All in all, my entire experience that night, from meeting Lady A to feeling like I was a part of the show in the inner circle was beyond words!! When I find something in life that I enjoy and love, I truly dedicate myself to it. For me life is nothing without finding something you are passionate about, and I am without a doubt passionate about Lady A and their music and connection to their fans.

Thank you Charles, Hillary, and Dave for an incredible “Own the Night” experience, it was wonderful to meet you all, and I hope to do so again in the near future! Thank you also to Mia Quinn, who does such a fantastic job keeping us Lady A’ers up to date about all things Lady A! I was so happy to finally meet you as well. Have a great time when you all go back to London this summer! Sadly, I’ll just miss you, because I arrive in London at the end of July, but I can’t wait until my next Lady A show! LA definitely LOVES Lady A!

I’ll leave you with some pictures I captured that night from the inner circle. And remember, “Keep Calm and Own the Night!” 🙂

CHEERS! andrea ♥

P.S. Don’t forget to catch Lady A’s performance on the ACM’s this Sunday, April 1st! Also Hillary’s birthday! Happy early Birthday!!

Lady A on Saturday Night Live!

2 Oct

Lady Antebellum “Owned the SATURDAY Night” last night for their first musical guest appearance on Saturday Night Live, along with host Melissa McCarthy. It was evident to their fans that they were so overjoyed to be on SNL. The last time I saw them that happy/excited was at their 1st concert in London last summer! Charles, Hillary, Dave & the Lady A band truly deserve all the wonderful opportunities that come their way.

They sounded amazing, as always, and also looked great! Hillary always has great stage outfits, Charles always pulls off his t-shirt, jeans, leather jacket, & boots, and I absolutely loved Dave in his cardigan and maroon shirt! Incase you missed their two performances last night, or want to watch them again, here they are singing “We Owned the Night” and “Just a Kiss.” For “Just a Kiss,” they did an amazing change up to the ending, very similar to what I witnessed them do live in Los Angeles at the Troubadour back on September 15th!

Lady Antebellum “Owns the Night”

22 Sep

One week ago today, I was at the Troubadour in Los Angeles for Lady Antebellum’s intimate show to celebrate their album release week! Their new album is called “Own the Night.”

Lady A wants their fans to own the special moments in their lives. Ten of the twelve songs on the album were written by Lady A themselves, Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, and Hillary Scott. The album has topped the Billboard 200 chart at #1, selling over 347,000 copies during the first week out!

I had an amazing view at the Troubadour, being only about 5 feet away from the stage! At one point, I even got to shake Charles’ hand during “We Owned the Night!” It also happened to be my 5th time seeing them live! Here are some of the photos and videos I took from that incredible night. Following those is this week’s Lady A Webisode Wednesday, featuring footage from their album promotion in Los Angeles. My friend and I were lucky enough to be interviewed in their webisode!

Hoping these videos I took at the Troubadour will encourage y’all to see Lady Antebellum live one day! The energy at their concerts is incredible!!

“Just A Kiss” – The ending they did for this live version is so beautiful, and one of the first times I’ve ever heard them perform it this way. A must hear/see!
