Becks, Posh, Kate, & Pippa at Wimbledon

9 Jul

Yesterday was the men’s Wimbledon Championship match between Roger Federer and Andy Murray, where Federer took home the trophy. Many were in attendance, including David & Victoria Beckham, and Kate & Pippa Middleton. The Beckhams looked glamorous as always. Kate wore her previously seen Joseph dress, which she wore during her North American Tour with William last year. She also carried a Diane von Furstenberg Leopard Print Clutch and wore her LK Bennett Sledge pumps. It was a rare sight to see her wear sunglasses in public, but according to What Kate Wore, she wore Givenchy Obsedia glasses. Pippa wore a dress from Project D.

Back on July 4th, William and Kate attended Wimbledon together. Kate re-wore one of my favorite outfits of hers by Alexander McQueen, which she wore in Canada back on July 4, 2011, as seen in my previous post. Here she is last week:

Happy 30th Birthday, Prince William!

21 Jun

Today is Prince William’s 30th Birthday! He is said to be celebrating with friends and family later in the day, and completing a search and rescue course in Gloucestershire beforehand. According to NBC, Prince William is also set to now have access at age 30 to his inheritance from his mother, Princess Diana, worth approximately $15.5 million. I’m wishing him a very happy birthday! Cheers to William! To celebrate, I have compiled various photographs from throughout Will’s life thus far:

A Royal Week in Review

20 Jun

The royal family had a busy past week, including the Queen’s visit to Nottingham, Trooping the Colour, an event for Will & Kate, and Garter Day.

Diamond Jubilee Tour:

On Thursday, June 14th, the Queen, Prince William, and Kate visited Nottingham, England as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tour. Kate recycled her M-Missoni coat she wore to Fortnum and Mason with Camilla and the Queen back on March 1st. She also re-wore her Rachel Trevor-Morgan hat along with the LK Bennett “Art” Court shoe.

Trooping the Colour:

On Saturday, June 16th, the Queen had her official birthday celebration in London, known as Trooping the Colour. Her actual birthday is April 21st, but it has long been the tradition to celebrate her birthday publicly on a day in the summer, when the weather is more likely to be warm and sunny. Therefore, it is held on a Saturday in June. The queen wore a canary yellow outfit by her go-to designer, Angela Kelly. She also wore that outfit for Will and Kate’s wedding on April 29, 2011. Kate wore an Erdem dress and hat by Jane Corbett.

ARK Charity Event & Polo Match:

On Sunday, June 17th, Kate visited children for outdoor activities as part of the ARK (Absolute Return for Kids) Charity. She wore a vest by Really Wild Clothing Company, along with a Burberry shirt and Le Chameau Vierzonord wellies. Thank you to What Kate Wore for the identifications and images.

Later that day, Kate joined Will and their dog Lupo at the Beaufort Polo Club where both William and Harry played.

Garter Day:

Monday, June 18th, was Garter Day. The Order of the Garter service was held at Windsor Castle. This day was founded by King Edward III in 1384. The Order is the country’s oldest Order of Chivalry. The Queen alone decides who receives the honor. Kate wore an Alexander McQueen coat that she also wore to Trooping the Colour last year. Her hat was by Jane Corbett. Sophie, Countess of Wessex is also a fashionable royal. She wore a Bruce Oldfield suit and Jimmy Choo shoes.

Diamond Jubilee: Royal Carriage Procession & Balcony Appearance

5 Jun

Following the Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving this morning at St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Queen and her family took part in a carriage procession back to Buckingham Palace. When they arrived, they stepped out onto the balcony to wave to the crowds outside who were celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Here are some photos from the procession and balcony appearance, as well as a message from the Queen about her Jubilee festivities.

Kate Was Lovely in Lace & the Queen Dazzled in Mint at the Diamond Jubilee Service

5 Jun

This morning in London, a Thanksgiving service was held in the Queen’s honor at St Paul’s Cathedral. Both her and Kate in particular looked exquisite.

Kate wore an Alexander McQueen, nude lace dress, along with a hat by royal milliner Jane Taylor and her LK Bennett heels:

Diamond Jubilee Concert

4 Jun

It is 3:30 PM in California, and the Diamond Jubilee Concert concluded in London just an hour ago. I watched along live here in CA via BBC One. A glorious stage was set up in front of Buckingham Palace, with acts performing on the stage itself, on the balcony of the palace, and even on the roof! Performers included Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Jessie J., Will.I.Am, Cheryl Cole, Gary Barlow, Kylie Minogue, Tom Jones, and closed with Sir Paul McCartney.

All of the Royal family was in attendance, with one exception, the Queen’s husband Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Sadly, he was hospitalized today before the concert due to a bladder infection, and will have to stay for observation for a few days. Aside from that, the family appeared to be enjoying themselves. Especially the young royals, such as William, Kate, Harry, Beatrice, and Eugenie.

Kate looked lovely in a Whistles, ‘Bella’ floral print dress:

Below are images from the concert, many of which I took a screenshot of while I watched BBC One coverage:

Beautiful images were projected onto Buckingham Palace throughout the concert:

Love the bow!

I adored the lining on Sir Paul McCartney’s jacket!

The Queen came onto the stage with her son, Prince Charles, whom gave a wonderful speech in her honor. One of my favorite moments was when he started out his speech by saying “Your Majesty, Mummy,” and the crowded replied with cheering and an “awww.” My reaction exactly!!

The Queen removed her cape, and came on stage looking lovely in gold, giving the crowd some beaming smiles:

The Queen lit the final beacon to honor her Diamond Jubilee. Beacons have also been lit across Britain and around the world:

The concert will air here in America tomorrow, June 5th on ABC at 9pm.

Cheers to the Queen! andrea ♥
